From May 25, 2018, the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation apply. We take your privacy very seriously. Below you can read more about how Flowers.NL deals with personal information and cookies.

Website visit and digital data

With every visit to our website, our web server automatically recognizes your IP address but not your e-mail address. When you visit our website, we save:

  • your domain name but not your e-mail address
  • your e-mail address when you post messages on this website
  • your e-mail address if you communicate this to us
  • the domain name of other sites you consulted to access our site
  • all information related to the pages you consult on our site
  • all information that you provide voluntarily (for example research information and / or site registration)

Orders and data processing

We always need your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and payment information to process an order. To send a bouquet, we also need a delivery address, the telephone number (only abroad) and the name of the recipient, if any, to ensure that your order arrives properly at the recipient.

When ordering a bouquet, we therefore process the following data:

  • The name, address, city, telephone number and e-mail address of the ordering party.
  • Payment details of the order.
  • The name, address, city, telephone number (abroad only) of the recipient.
  • Any Login Details.
  • IP address.

Right to access, rectify or delete

We comply with this legislation and offer you the opportunity to always view your data that we process. For rectification and deletion, we will always initially use the legal retention period for the crucial data required for the tax authorities. After this retention period we are happy to comply with the wish for removal or rectification.

Retention period

Flowers.NL has a 7-year retention period for your order data, which is necessary for the tax authorities. This data is always cleaned from the information that we do not need, so personal information is only kept for as long as necessary.

Third parties

We use payment processors and we have a number of software packages in which our data is processed internally. Only these parties can gain access to the information they need so that we can take care of the order for you:

  • The supplier of the chosen payment option (Afterpay, Adyen for IDEAL and credit card payments and Paypal).
  • Our CRM and financial software package.
  • The Fleurop florist who will prepare the order for you.

Flowers.NL will not provide your information to third parties outside the Netherlands unless the order is sent to someone abroad and you therefore enter a delivery address abroad.

We have gone through the correct legal procedures with these parties to ensure that your data is always processed securely. This also applies to orders that take place abroad.

Cookies

On this site we use cookies (a cookie is a small file that is sent by an internet server and that is installed on the hard disk of your computer. This file keeps track of the visited internet site and contains some information about this visit).
